Coleen Nolan turned heads with a striking new Instagram post, but it was her noticeably slimmer figure that sent fans into a frenzy of worry and debate.

Something about Coleen Nolan’s recent Instagram post stopped her followers dead in their scroll — and it wasn’t just the bold outfit.

The “Loose Women” veteran, 61, shared a carousel of behind-the-scenes snaps from her return to the ITV daytime panel show on Tuesday, 28 April, and while she was clearly in high spirits, fans couldn’t stop fixating on one thing: just how dramatically her figure has changed.

In the first image, Nolan stands poised on a staircase, one hand resting confidently on the rail, wearing a vivid red-orange French Connection blouse tucked into sleek black faux-leather trousers from So Sandra — a look pulled together by her stylist Bronagh Webster.

She is beaming. She looks glamorous. And she looks, to many eyes, remarkably thin. “A lovely couple of days back on @loosewomen 🩷,” she wrote in the caption, crediting her styling team with characteristic warmth.

The second photo pulls the curtain back a little further — a candid moment where Nolan is caught mid-preparation, her stylist fussing over her hair as she laughs freely, relaxed and radiant in the same bold ensemble.

Then comes the third image — pure joy. Nolan is huddled with her “Loose Women” co-stars on the colourful studio set, arms around each other, grinning for the camera.

Tagged alongside her are Ruth Langsford and Judi Love. It’s a warm, celebratory snapshot of a reunion. But even amid the laughter and colour, viewers kept returning to the same question: how much weight has Nolan lost?

The concern came quickly, and it came in waves.

“It concerns me to see such weight loss so quickly. Everyone on the injections has the same look of really thin legs 😞 the jabs cause bone and muscle loss that is exceptionally hard to get back,” one alarmed follower warned.

Another echoed the sentiment at length, writing, “What a shame you like many others have decided to go down the weight loss jab path… the short term benefits of ‘looking good’ do not outweigh the harmful long term consequences of which we still do not fully know.”

“Also added to that we seem to live in a world where ‘thinness’ is a trophy 🏆 so very sad and does not ever treat the underlying issues of people’s unhealthy relationships with food or their lifestyle. Quick fixes are never the answer 😭😭😭 no disrespect intended.”

The scepticism wasn’t shy either. “Have to admit it’s down to jabs please don’t say diet and excersise be truthful,” one commenter pressed bluntly.

Others urged Nolan to pump the brakes. “Don’t go to thin like some of them on these silly jabs and don’t put happiness down to what you weigh x,” one fan pleaded gently. Another cut straight to it, writing,”Enough’s enough, no more weight loss!”

The verdict on her current appearance was equally direct. “Very Skinny, don’t overdo it,” one netizen stated flatly, while another chimed in simply, “Yes you don’t need to lose anyone weight [sic].”

Not everyone, though, was sounding the alarm. “I think she looks good, but she doesn’t need to lose anymore. It’s her life not ours,” one measured voice reasoned amid the noise.

Moreover, the admiration was never far behind. For every raised eyebrow, there was a dropped jaw.

“You look incredible and so so much younger x 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷,” one viewer gushed. “Wow, you look fantastic. I got a shock when I saw you on loose women today!” another marvelled.

Others were altogether less composed. “Colleen you look amazing😍I’ve wanted this for you for long time, you look 20years younger 😍,” one besotted fan swooned.

Not all the admiration was without reservation, though. “Gone too thin now Coll I think you have done enough ❤️,” one follower fretted tenderly.

Others, meanwhile, threw caution entirely to the wind. “Wow, in my wildest dreams. Need a cold shower to get over you looking amazing,” one commenter confessed breathlessly.

And perhaps most entertainingly, another managed to make their point while simultaneously defending their own dignity, cackling, “Looking very hot 🔥Lovely lady ( Yes I’m straight ) 🤣❤️.”

Then, a week later, a new chapter began entirely. On Monday, 4 May — the night “Celebs Go Dating” finally premiered on E4 — Nolan marked the occasion in style.

She posted a series of shots in a vivid red midi dress with a fitted bodice, elbow-length sleeves, and a sweeping full skirt that flared dramatically at the hem, finished with black pointed-toe heels and a long pendant necklace.

“Celebs Go Dating starts tonight at 9:00pm on E4! See you there 💋🩷👗👠,” she wrote. One fan couldn’t hold back. “The colour red really compliments your skin tone. 🔥,” they swooned.

Premiere night snaps told the rest of the story. Nolan was in her element — champagne flute in hand, laughing freely among her fellow celebrity cast members beneath cascading fairy lights and lush greenery.

Confident, radiant, and completely at ease, she looked every inch the woman who had earned her place in the room.

The confidence on display didn’t materialise overnight. It was hard-won, and Nolan has been refreshingly candid about every step of the journey.

As Amomama readers may recall, Nolan turned heads last month after sharing radiant new photos and videos that had fans convinced she’s ageing in reverse — and the “Loose Women” star hasn’t been shy about exactly how she got here.

She’s 61, she’s newly single, and if her latest social media posts are anything to go by, Coleen Nolan has absolutely no intention of slowing down.

On Thursday, 23 April, Nolan shared a glittering promotional shot ahead of her upcoming appearance on “Celebs Go Dating”, and the response from fans was immediate.

In the photo, the “Loose Women” panellist poses confidently against a pastel floral backdrop in a shimmering sheer blue sequinned top layered over a fitted camisole, paired with crisp white trousers.

Her dark hair falls in soft waves around her face as she flashes a broad, easy smile. “I had just the best time filming this 🎬 #CelebsGoDating starts Monday 4th May on E4! 🩷 💐,” she wrote in the caption.

Fans couldn’t get enough. “Looking gorgeous as ever, I don’t expect a reply 🤣🌹 [sic],” gushed one admirer. Another was only slightly more composed, writing, “💓💓💓 You make my heart race. At this rate I’ll need a pacemaker.”

Perhaps most tellingly, one follower simply asked, “Are you getting younger 😮?”

But the posts kept coming — and so did the reactions. That same day, Nolan appeared in a joint upload with OK Magazine, responding to the prompt, “One thing I wish I’d known about health and ageing is…”

Her answer was candid and reflective. “It really happens fast! When you’re younger, you just don’t think it. And then all of a sudden, it’s here. And it feels like yesterday,” she said.

She also spoke to the deeper shift she’s experienced. “Losing weight has changed my confidence by making me believe in myself more, and that I have a lot to offer.”

One viewer responded simply, “You look really pretty in this video. Ageing looks good on you!!”

That confidence didn’t emerge overnight. The previous week, on 18 April, Nolan had posted a more personal video — also with OK Magazine — in which she opened up about what first pushed her to start her weight loss journey.

“My main motivation for starting the weight loss programme was all to do with health,” she explained. “It wasn’t necessarily to make me aesthetically pleasing to anyone, it was to do with how I felt on the inside, the fact that I had been diagnosed as prediabetic.”

Nolan partnered with weight-loss company Voy, which combines prescription medication with clinical support, and has so far lost 3.5 stone — dropping from a size 20 to a size 14.

She’s been open about the physical benefits: her back has improved, her energy is up, and her relationship with food has fundamentally changed.

“I used to eat when I was happy and sad,” she admitted — but having grown far more attuned to her body through the process, she says she no longer worries about it in quite the same way.

Now, she says, the focus is maintenance, not milestones.

“I’m quite aware that I don’t want to lose too much. So, I’m in a really good place with it at the moment,” Nolan said, before adding with characteristic wit, “And will I have probably ups and downs with it? Yes. And no doubt, you’ll point that out. But I’m going to do my best.”

Fans watching that clip were equally effusive. “You are absolutely glowing Coleen 💚💫💚 it’s definitely your time to shine bright! 🫶🏻💥,” gushed one fan. “Looking bloody fabulous Colleen 😍,” declared another.

“You look absolutely fabulous….you look 20yrs younger….👏❤️,” a third swooned.

One particularly observant commenter zeroed in on the details, raving, “You look amazing, well done, your arms and shoulder… (the one that’s out lol) so toned and such a beautiful shape. Go you, inspiring me you are. Love you Colleen 🥰.”

Others simply couldn’t contain themselves. “You look 10 years 👌 🔥,” fired off one, while another cheered, “Look fab and younger 👏❤️.”

And it isn’t only her health that Nolan is putting first. The star split from her last boyfriend — whom she met on Tinder — in late 2024 after three years together, and spent the following year rediscovering herself. That chapter, she says, is now firmly closed. “I’m 61, but mentally I’m about 35. I want someone who still wants to live, laugh and do things.”

Enter “Celebs Go Dating” — and, based on the fan response alone, quite a few hopefuls who’d be first in line.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Nolan has stopped fans in their tracks — and not every reaction she’s received has been kind. Her transformation has been unfolding for months, and with it has come a whole other conversation.

The 61-year-old TV favourite has faced years of criticism over her size — but now that she’s shed several stone, she says the judgement hasn’t stopped. Even so, she’s not letting it dim her glow.

“Loose Women” star Coleen Nolan stunned fans last month in a vibrant yellow dress that showed off her slimmer-than-ever figure, while admitting she’s still being trolled over her dramatic weight loss.

Posting on Instagram on Monday, 3 March, Nolan beamed as she posed excitedly for a photo on a London pavement. Dressed in a sunshine-yellow frock with a draped cowl neckline and soft, fluttery sleeves, she looked fresh, confident and full of life.

The dress gathered gently at the waist before flaring into an asymmetrical skirt, perfectly showing off her new shape. She paired the look with pointed black heels and minimal accessories, letting the bold colour do all the talking.

“London calling 📞💂‍♀️,” she captioned the post.

Fans were quick to flood the comments with admiration. “Looking stunning great figure ❤️❤️,” one gushed. But not all the reactions were entirely supportive.

“I prefer curvaceous Coleen ❤️❤️,” one follower admitted. “Don’t lose anymore. Stay this way!!!” another warned. A third simply wrote, “Skinny 💚.”

The mixed response hasn’t come as a surprise to Nolan, who has endured relentless body-shaming for years. Before her transformation, she was viciously targeted by trolls for her size — abuse that left a deeper mark than she liked to admit.

“I tried to not let the trolls affect me, but it was hard when they were calling me fat and all these names, because those were things that I actually thought about myself,” she revealed in a candid interview with Bella Magazine.

“Now people attack me for the opposite, claiming I’ve lost too much weight.”

“I just can’t win,” she added. “But I don’t mind these comments as much. I almost think ‘thank you’ because I needed to lose the weight.”

The star went on to say she now feels “much more confident”, and has embraced small lifestyle changes — including being mindful about snacking.

Long before embracing a healthier way of life and stunning fans with her jaw-dropping transformation (chronicled in photos at the end!), the beloved ITV presenter silently battled the scales for years.

Nolan, who is now beaming with unshakeable self-assurance and radiating strength, has long spoken openly about her turbulent relationship with her weight.

As Amomama readers may recall, back in February, the media personality shared a glowing snap ahead of her appearance on “Loose Women”, sending fans into a frenzy.

In the chic snapshot, the longtime TV darling gazed confidently into the camera, styled to perfection. Her shoulder-length brunette hair was styled in loose, voluminous curls, with soft bangs framing her face. She donned a sleek dark pinstripe blazer over a cosy grey top, exuding understated glamour.

Accessorising with silver hoops and a classic wristwatch, Nolan completed her look with glowing natural makeup, bold lashes, and a warm lipstick hue that made her smile absolutely pop.

“Today’s Loose Women look 💋,” she captioned the post. “Hope everyone is having a great week ❤️.” But it wasn’t just her outfit that had fans talking. Compliments flooded in, with some left staggered by how different she — and stunning — looked.

“Wow look at you, how did you lose all that weight? You look absolutely gorgeous 😍 well done Colleen ❤️,” one wrote. “You look fab so slim well done Colleen you deserve the best. Your such a nice lady ❤️❤️ [sic],” gushed another.

“Looking phenomenal ❤️❤️,” a third chimed in, while another fan added, “Years younger.”

But it wasn’t all flattery — some followers were desperate to know the secret behind her slim figure.

“You look like you have lost weight, are you on the jabs?” one asked, while another commented, “You look absolutely fab! Well done for promoting the jabs. The weight battle is real & ruins your life but some people don’t understand it ❤️.”

Though Nolan had previously spoken out against using weight loss medication, in October last year, she revealed a surprising change of heart — announcing a new partnership with weight loss injection company Voy.

Now, more than four months after beginning her journey, Nolan has been confidently flaunting her new figure on social media — empowered, energised, and utterly transformed.

Her dramatic shift came just over a year after receiving a terrifying pre-diabetes diagnosis.

Speaking candidly on “Loose Women” in March 2024, she admitted she had been struggling with crippling fatigue that left her constantly exhausted — no matter how much she slept.

Initially dismissed as menopause symptoms by those around her, Nolan revealed she only sought medical help when she began nodding off throughout the day.

Blood tests initially showed only a vitamin D deficiency — but a later call from a diabetic specialist delivered a gut-wrenching blow: she was on the brink of type 2 diabetes.

The news, which she called “quite alarming”, spurred her into action. She learned that type 2 diabetes can be reversed through diet and lifestyle changes — and from that moment on, she never looked back.

“I finally feel I’m taking control of my health in a way that’s right for me, and that allows me to enjoy life with my family,” she shared.

Now feeling stronger and more confident than ever, Nolan has revealed she’s not just focusing on her health — she’s looking for love in her 60s.

Appearing on “This Morning”, she shared that she’s back in the dating scene, although her recent outings haven’t led to anything serious just yet.

“You know, a couple of the dates I went on, they were such lovely guys, but a. they live miles away and b., they didn’t like animals. And I thought, well, as much as we’re having a lovely date now, that’s not going to work on the outside,” she confessed.

Still, ever the optimist, Nolan says she’s not giving up hope — more dates are on the cards, and she’s determined to find her person.

In the meantime, scroll down to see how she has evolved through the years.on on 8 July 2014. She brightened the setting in a cobalt camisole beneath a dove-grey jacket and black trousers. Open-toe heels, a floral necklace, and a warm smile finished the look.
